Legal
Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Viewdo, including profiles, travel stories, itineraries, matching, messaging and links to independent booking partners.
1. About these terms
Viewdo is a trading name of Mersey Mould Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 15630690, with its registered office at H S L Building, 437 Warrington Road, Rainhill, Prescot, England, L35 4LL. References to Viewdo, we, us or our mean Mersey Mould Ltd.
By creating an account or continuing to use an account after being asked to accept these terms, you agree to them, the Community Guidelines and the rules incorporated by reference. Our Privacy Notice explains how personal information is handled.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a contract to create or use a Viewdo account. You must provide accurate information, maintain only accounts you are authorised to use and keep your credentials secure.
Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity through your account unless it results from our failure to use reasonable care. We may require reasonable verification where needed to protect users or investigate misuse.
3. What Viewdo provides
Viewdo is a travel discovery, social and planning platform. It lets people share travel content, build and borrow itineraries, record destinations, discover activities and connect with potential travel companions. Features may change during beta and may occasionally be unavailable.
Recommendations, destination profiles, itineraries, ratings and community posts are starting points, not professional travel advice or guarantees. Always check official entry requirements, safety guidance, accessibility, opening times, suitability, prices and availability before travelling or paying.
4. Bookings and external partners
Viewdo does not currently take payment for travel services, issue tickets, confirm reservations or act as the supplier of flights, accommodation, transport, insurance or activities. When you follow an external link, you leave Viewdo and contract directly with the named provider under that provider's terms, privacy notice, cancellation rules and complaints process.
Prices and availability shown by external providers can change. A saved link, itinerary item or user statement does not confirm a booking. Viewdo is not responsible for an external provider's acts, insolvency, availability, cancellations or performance, although this does not affect liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Viewdo earns commission from qualifying bookings made through clearly identified affiliate links, at no extra cost to you. Read the Affiliate Disclosure. We do not currently combine travel services into a package, accept a single payment for them or transfer your payment details between providers.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of original content you upload. You give Viewdo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format and display that content as needed to operate, secure and promote the Viewdo service. This includes displaying content in feeds, profiles, destination hubs, shared links and Viewdo promotional previews.
The licence ends when the content is deleted, except where a copy is reasonably required for backups, legal claims, safety investigations, content previously shared by another user, or material incorporated into a feature you asked us to provide. We will not sell ownership of your photographs or represent ourselves as their creator.
You must own the content or have all necessary permission to upload and license it. Obtain permission from identifiable people where required, respect privacy and intellectual-property rights, and do not publish confidential information or misleading reviews. You are responsible for your content and destination claims.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Viewdo to:
- commit, encourage, threaten or facilitate unlawful activity;
- harass, stalk, exploit, impersonate, intimidate or discriminate against anyone;
- share child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, non-consensual intimate material, credible threats, fraud, trafficking content or content encouraging suicide or serious self-harm;
- publish another person's private information, live location or private communications without lawful permission;
- upload malware, scrape the service without permission, evade security, manipulate engagement or create deceptive accounts;
- advertise, solicit money, sell regulated services or place commercial affiliate links without our written permission; or
- infringe copyright, trade marks or other rights.
The Community Guidelines give practical examples and form part of these terms.
7. Travel companions and personal safety
Matching scores, profiles, identity details and messages are user-provided or automatically compared. Viewdo does not conduct criminal-record, identity, financial or safeguarding checks unless expressly stated. A match, accepted request or profile badge is not an endorsement or safety guarantee.
Use your own judgement. Keep initial conversations on Viewdo, do not send money, protect travel documents, tell someone you trust about plans and meet in a public place before travelling together. Call emergency services where there is an immediate risk. Report and block concerning users using the available controls.
8. Moderation, reports and complaints
We may review, restrict, remove, preserve or disclose content and may warn, suspend or close accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users, investigate reports, comply with law or maintain service integrity. We may use automated signals and human review, but we do not promise to monitor everything before it appears.
Report illegal or harmful content through the relevant in-product control or the process on our Online Safety and Complaints page. We assess reports proportionately, prioritise immediate or serious risk, and may report matters to law enforcement or safeguarding bodies. You may appeal an account or content decision by emailing mark@merseymould.co.uk with the relevant details.
9. Viewdo intellectual property
The Viewdo brand, interface, software, original editorial content and database structure belong to us or our licensors. These terms permit personal, lawful use of the service. They do not permit copying, reselling, reverse engineering, automated extraction or commercial exploitation except where law expressly allows it or we agree in writing.
10. Beta availability and changes
Viewdo is in early beta. We may add, change or withdraw features, impose reasonable limits, correct content or carry out maintenance. We will use reasonable care but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We will give reasonable notice where a change materially affects paid rights or ongoing contractual use, where practicable.
11. Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory consumer rights, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
If you use Viewdo as a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses arising from consumer use, or for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. You remain responsible for travel decisions and contracts made with third parties.
12. Ending your account
You may stop using Viewdo and request account deletion through Account Settings or by emailing us. We may restrict or terminate access for serious or repeated breaches, legal requirements, security risks or prolonged inactivity. Where appropriate, we will explain the decision and provide an appeal route. Sections intended to survive closure, including licences already exercised, legal records, liability and dispute provisions, remain effective.
13. Business transfers and changes to these terms
We may transfer the Viewdo business and these terms to another company, including a company established specifically for Viewdo, provided this does not reduce your statutory rights. We will identify the new operator and notify users where required. You may not transfer your account or these terms without our written permission.
We may update these terms for legal, safety, commercial or service changes. We will publish the effective date and seek renewed acceptance for material changes where appropriate.
14. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory protections and may bring proceedings in the courts available in your home jurisdiction. Contact mark@merseymould.co.uk before starting a dispute so we can try to resolve it.
