Community Guidelines
Viewdo is for adults sharing genuine travel inspiration and making respectful connections. These rules apply to posts, profiles, comments, itineraries, messages and companion requests.
1. Be useful, honest and respectful
- Share genuine experiences, practical context and fair opinions.
- Respect different backgrounds, identities, budgets and ways of travelling.
- Make clear when content is a suggestion, an advertisement or based on an experience you did not personally have.
- Do not manipulate ratings, impersonate another person or misrepresent qualifications, identity or travel history.
2. Protect privacy and consent
- Ask permission before posting identifiable people where permission is reasonably required.
- Do not share passports, tickets, booking references, precise home addresses, live location, private messages or intimate material.
- Never publish another person's personal information to shame, threaten or locate them.
- Do not pressure anyone to move conversations off Viewdo or disclose contact, financial or identity information.
3. Content and conduct we prohibit
Viewdo does not allow:
- child sexual abuse material or sexual exploitation of any person;
- terrorist content, credible threats or instructions intended to facilitate serious crime;
- harassment, stalking, hate, discriminatory abuse or non-consensual intimate content;
- content encouraging suicide, serious self-harm, trafficking, fraud or dangerous illegal activity;
- scams, requests for money, fake bookings, deceptive affiliate links or unauthorised commercial solicitation;
- malware, spam, engagement manipulation, scraping or attempts to bypass security; or
- content that infringes copyright, trade marks, confidentiality or other legal rights.
4. Travel-companion safety
- Viewdo is 18+ and is not a dating or emergency-location service.
- A profile, match or accepted connection is not a background check or endorsement.
- Keep initial conversations on Viewdo, do not send money and be cautious about urgent requests.
- Meet in a public place first, tell a trusted person your plans and keep control of your documents, transport and accommodation.
- Leave any situation that feels unsafe and contact emergency services where there is immediate danger.
5. Commercial content
Ordinary users may share places they genuinely visited. Paid, gifted, sponsored or affiliate content must be clearly labelled as advertising before people engage with it and must comply with applicable advertising rules. Unauthorised affiliate links, bulk promotion and misleading endorsements may be removed.
6. Reporting and enforcement
Use Report or Block where available, or email mark@merseymould.co.uk. We consider context, severity, intent, previous behaviour and legal obligations. Possible action includes reduced visibility, content removal, warnings, feature restrictions, suspension, account closure, evidence preservation and referral to relevant authorities.
You can appeal a moderation decision by emailing the same address with your username, the content or decision involved, and why you believe it should be reconsidered. Do not submit a false or abusive report.
